The biggest national technology festive will turn Hoan Kiem pedestrian street into a vibrant gathering place for the technology and startup community.
Visitors will be able to explore emerging technologies, discover new business models, learn about policy updates and hear real-world startup stories.
The event, held jointly by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Hanoi People’s Committee, is expected to welcome around 60,000 in-person and online participants, along with 1,200 investment funds and incubators and 1,700 domestic and international startups.
The opening ceremony on December 13 will feature the announcement of major new policies promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The event will also honor the top 10 venture capital deals of 2025 and the top 10 localities with outstanding startup ecosystem development.
A National Policy Forum on Investment for Innovation and Startups will take place the same day, bringing together government agencies, international experts, investment funds and businesses to discuss Vietnam’s opportunities and challenges in the venture capital landscape.
Techfest 2025 is designed to be open, dynamic and inspiring, with the goal of spreading a culture of innovation across the wider community.
This spirit aligns with Vietnam’s national strategy to foster an innovation-driven startup culture, one that regards entrepreneurship as a collective mission, driving new sources of growth and opening space for creativity nationwide.
The 2024 event titled “Joining Hands to Develop the Innovative Startup Ecosystem”, took place on November 26-28 in the northern city of Haiphong, features nearly 150 activities.
The event featured a high-level policy forum on innovative startups themed “From Local to International”, an exhibition of innovative startup products and services, the Vietnam Innovative Startup Talent Search competition and others.
The program attracted around 8,000 participants, 1,500 more than in 2023.
First held in 2015, Techfest Vietnam has grown into a major annual event led by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
After nine years, it has become a key platform for policymakers, businesses, investors and startup supporters, helping strengthen Vietnam’s position on the global innovation map.
