Tay Ninh Economic Zone Authority grants an investment certificate for the handicraft project by King Group

To attract more investment capital and raise industrial production value and export value turnover of the province, the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Authority has adopted consistent solutions to improve State administration of IPs and border gate EZs by accompanying enterprises.

Optimistic signals

Investment flows into Tay Ninh province-based IPs and border gate EZs have picked up: Totaling US$805 million in 2023 and US$292 million in the first nine months of 2024. The authority will further strive to achieve the highest investment value according to the plan in the remaining months of 2024.

In particular, the infrastructure construction and business project of Hiep Thanh Industrial Park - Phase 1 was approved in principle by the Prime Minister. Covering 495.17 ha and costing VND2,350 billion for construction, the industrial park is expected to attract investment projects in Tay Ninh province in the coming time. Besides, the revised general planning of Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone was approved by the Provincial People’s Council and the Appraisal Council of the Ministry of Construction. Then, the province will complete necessary procedures and submit them to the Prime Minister for approval, which will be a premise for economic development of Tay Ninh province, as well as the Southeast region.

Mr. Truong Van Hung, Director of the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Authority, said that the authority will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and localities to implement consistent solutions to enhance State administration of industrial parks and border gate economic zones by upholding the spirit of companionship and sharing difficulties with investors and enterprises through practical actions.

Facilitating businesses and investors

Industry is important in the province's socioeconomic development strategy. The resolution of the 11th Tay Ninh Provincial Party Congress (2020 - 2025 term), defines the vision of turning the province into one of the localities with a modern industrial structure, which needs to be given special priority for investment to create jobs and income for the people. And according to the Tay Ninh Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, the province planned three new industrial parks and expands an existing one with a total planned area of 4,444 ha. Therefore, developing the business force, attracting high-quality businesses and workers, and creating the image of a strongly innovative Tay Ninh is an important task for the Tay Ninh Economic Zone Authority and for the entire political system of Tay Ninh province.

In this journey, to meet the province’s industrial development requirements, the authority always focuses on advising competent authorities to synchronously implement the practice-based development plan of both new and existing industrial parks. Mr. Truong Van Hung said, Tay Ninh province is making great efforts to draw more investment capital into industrial parks and border gate economic zones. Specifically, the province focuses on investing in infrastructure, urgently carrying out procedures to implement the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway, prioritizing the development of key traffic works, and connecting with the national traffic system and the Southern Key Economic Zone. The province is mobilizing and effectively exploiting resources (such as central budget support, local budget and corporate capital) for infrastructure development investment in economic zones and industrial parks, with continued emphasis on essential infrastructure to strongly develop the border economy and border trade economy.

“To facilitate business development of local companies, in addition to initial investment support solutions, the authority will closely follow its goals, develop plans, and strictly control administrative procedures under its jurisdiction, advise the Provincial People's Committee to announce a list of administrative procedures for comprehensive and effective reform and smooth business development. The authority will gradually speed up the settlement of administrative procedures in the electronic environment to reduce time and costs for businesses; regularly update new legal documents, publicize administrative procedures, plans, and clean land funds for investment projects, investment incentive policies and investment procedures to facilitate investors to access information in a timely manner," he added.

In addition, the authority will effectively implement the Tay Ninh Industrial Park Development Project in 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee. It will complete adjusting the master plan for construction of Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone and Xa Mat Border Gate Economic Zone to create a driving force to attract investment capital, improve the operational efficiency of border gate economic zones, gradually create a basis for calling for and attracting investors to locate their projects in the economic zones. It will complete legal procedures to implement the third phase of Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and the first phase of Hiep Thanh Industrial Park; diversify promotion market and investment support methods in industrial parks and border gate economic zones; facilitate enterprises to restore production and expand their markets; and regularly work, dialogue, promptly resolve difficulties for investors in the course of project implementation and business operations.
