Entrepreneurs’ Day

In his message, Director Mai Xuan Thanh conveyed warm congratulations, deep gratitude, and best wishes for health, success, and prosperity to all entrepreneurs and businesses that have demonstrated relentless effort, innovation, and creativity, making important contributions to the country’s socio-economic development.

He emphasized that enterprises and entrepreneurs are essential partners in the tax sector’s development. With a strong sense of legal compliance, resilience, and adaptability to market fluctuations, the business community has made significant contributions to the state budget, funding public welfare projects, schools, hospitals, and transport infrastructure, while supporting national defense, education, healthcare, and social welfare programs.

Mai Xuan Thanh emphasized that the tax sector deeply appreciates the pioneering role of the business community in Vietnam’s integration and development. The sustained contributions of enterprises not only reflect their business competence but also express a strong sense of national responsibility and pride. Guided by the principles of “Companionship, Transparency, Professionalism, Innovation, and Service,” the tax sector remains steadfast in its taxpayer-centered approach, continuously reforming administrative procedures, streamlining processes, and applying digital technologies to enhance service quality and build a fair, transparent, and business-friendly tax environment.

In recent years, the sector has expanded electronic tax services, including online tax filing, payment, and refund systems, helping enterprises save time and costs while enhancing autonomy in fulfilling tax obligations. Tax authorities at all levels also hold regular dialogues and consultations to address difficulties and listen to businesses, particularly amid ongoing economic challenges.

Administrative reform in tax management has achieved notable progress, with 99.3% of enterprises registered for electronic tax payment services with tax authorities and 98.7% registered with banks. In 2025, electronic tax payment transactions reached 3,308,715, totaling over VND666.969 trillion. Meanwhile, 97% of businesses joined the electronic value-added tax (VAT) refund system, with 9,166 refund applications processed electronically, amounting to VND76.074 trillion.

Since the launch of the eTax Mobile application, it has recorded over 6.2 million downloads and installations, up 13% compared to June 2025. Transactions via commercial banks have reached nearly 10.3 million, with a total value of VND18.5 trillion successfully processed. As of the end of September 2025, more than 289,000 businesses had registered to use e-invoices generated from cash registers, an increase of 211% compared to the end of 2024.

Director Mai Xuan Thanh reaffirmed that the tax sector will continue to accompany and support businesses through concrete actions, such as strengthening two-way communication channels between tax authorities and taxpayers, providing timely policy guidance, and further improving Vietnam’s tax payment index to enhance the nation’s overall business environment and economic competitiveness.
