Tan Viet A vermicelli is the first OCOP product of Cao Bang Province exported to the US market.

The shipment was exported through a partner company of the cooperative based in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the contract between Tan Viet A Agricultural Cooperative and the partner company, the cooperative will supply up to 4 tonnes of arrowroot vermicelli per month to the partner for export to the US.

Located in Minh Tam Commune, Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province, Tan Viet A Agricultural Cooperative owns the Tan Viet A arrowroot vermicelli brand, which has been awarded 4-star OCOP (One Commune, One Product) certification.

The cooperative began production and brand building in 2017. By 2020, Tan Viet A arrowroot vermicelli had achieved 3-star OCOP certification, and was later upgraded to 4-star status in 2023.

Thanks to consistent efforts to improve product quality, Tan Viet A arrowroot vermicelli now meets all the standards required for export to the US market.

Tran Duc Hieu shared that exporting Tan Viet A arrowroot vermicelli to the US is a significant milestone for the cooperative. It reflects the organisation’s efforts in management, quality enhancement, brand building, and market development, and has yielded impressive results.
