At the charity golf event on October 21, Phan Ngoc Cuong, general director of construction company CONINCO said it was actively contributing to social responsibility activities, education, and social charity through this participation.
"With the noble and practical humanitarian meaning of Swing for the Kids, CONINCO is happy to accompany VIR and businesses as a bronze sponsor for the first time, in order to support future generations," Cuong said.
CONINCO hopes that the event will create a strong spillover effect in the community to have more projects aimed at education, reaching mountainous areas and far-reaching schools.
A representative of the Hole-in-One award sponsor Seven Stars said that it was extremely honoured to accompany the event. As a distributor of 3S Mitsubishi Seven Stars automobiles under Nhat Hung Group, the company sponsored two cars worth $47,000 for Swing for the Kids this year.
"Hopefully, with its noble meaning and the cause of promoting learning and talent, the golf tournament and scholarship fund for children will help more students realise their dream of going to school," the representative said.
Nguyen Thi Minh Khoa, director at uniform design and production company and silver sponsor Vinamika Vietnam, said that although this was the first time Vinamika had sponsored the event, it wants to become a long-term companion and work with the organisers to support young Vietnamese talent.
"Additionally, we believe that Swing for the Kids is a bridge to add more motivation and strength to thousands of students across Vietnam, especially children in remote areas, border areas, and islands through its meaningful scholarships and activities to improve and upgrade facilities for teaching and learning for schools nationwide," Khoa said.
Joining the event for the first time, Le Quoc Minh, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan and chairman of the Vietnam Journalist Association, highlighted the human meaning of the tournament.
"All media is interested in this event, so we would like to contribute to promote and encourage more meaningful sporting events like this. I hope Swing for the Kids will be maintained for many years and generate many benefits and for children in difficult circumstances," said Minh.
