At a recent meeting with the Quang Ngai People's Committee, company representatives presented plans for a carbon-neutral luxury eco-resort and healthcare retreat, covering 4.5 hectares in Kon Plong commune.

According to the investor, the development would operate entirely on renewable energy and target net-zero carbon emissions. The project would include a 1-megawatt solar power farm, a wellness and healthcare center, a green energy research and development facility, and an academy focused on hospitality and eco-tourism management training.

The resort is designed around green tourism principles, incorporating circular economy practices, environmentally friendly technologies, and sustainable operating models.

Peak Education said the project is intended to support the development of high-end tourism, create jobs, raise local incomes, and enhance the profile of Kon Plong as a tourism destination.

Tran Phuoc Hien, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai People's Committee, welcomed the proposal and praised the investor's efforts in studying the province's tourism potential, particularly in the Kon Plong area.

He said the project's long-term vision, which combines economic development with environmental protection and sustainability goals, aligns with Vietnam's broader policy direction on green growth, circular economy development, and carbon emissions reduction.

Hien added that the proposal is consistent with Quang Ngai's tourism development strategy, which prioritizes eco-tourism and resort projects in mountainous areas, especially Kon Plong, a locality known for its natural landscapes, mild climate, and relatively well-preserved ecosystems.

"Quang Ngai province supports the investor's proposal and is committed to accompanying and assisting the investor throughout the project evaluation and approval process," Hien said.

The province will coordinate with central government agencies and relevant authorities to address potential obstacles and facilitate the project's implementation, he added.
