Deputy Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Bui Huy Vinh and Ambassador Tran Van Tuan at the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden

As part of an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, a delegation from Phu Tho Province led by Bui Huy Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, held working sessions on June 10, 2026, with the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden and several Swedish corporations and businesses.

At the meeting, Tran Van Tuan, Ambassador of Vietnam to Sweden, noted that the Vietnamese community in Sweden now numbers more than 22,000 people. He also highlighted the establishment of the Vietnam Science and Technology Experts Association in Sweden in June 2024, which aims to connect Vietnamese experts, scientists, and intellectuals working in the country while promoting knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and stronger science and technology cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.

Ambassador Tran Van Tuan encouraged Phu Tho Province to further strengthen ties with the Vietnamese intellectual and expert community in Sweden and proactively develop cooperation programs in science and technology, innovation, and human resource development. He also affirmed his commitment to helping connect Swedish investors with opportunities in Vietnam, particularly in Phu Tho Province.

Bui Huy Vinh shared information about Phu Tho’s socio-economic development and investment attraction efforts. He expressed his hope that the Embassy of Vietnam in Sweden would continue supporting the province in promoting its strengths and investment potential, while helping connect with organizations, businesses, and investors interested in cooperation and investment opportunities in the locality, particularly in high-tech industry, precision engineering, pharmaceuticals, information technology, innovation, and tourism.

The provincial delegation also held working sessions with Airborne Group, a global technology company specializing in the research, design, automation, and production of composite components for high-tech industries, and ASSA ABLOY Asia Holding AB.

During the meeting, Airborne Group introduced green hydrogen solutions and scalable energy storage systems designed to support the development of sustainable industrial parks and enhance the stability of regional power grids in Vietnam. The two sides also discussed potential areas for long-term cooperation, including technology transfer, investment collaboration, joint projects and initiatives, and the development of a strategic partnership.

ASSA ABLOY Asia Holding AB shared its development journey and business strategy, including expansion plans and its interest in exploring investment opportunities in industrial parks in Phu Tho Province.

According to Bui Huy Vinh, Phu Tho’s strategic location, increasingly connected transportation network, stable investment environment, young and abundant workforce, and strong support from local authorities have helped attract a growing number of foreign-invested enterprises, including Swedish companies.

The province views the FDI business community as an important driver of economic growth, technology transfer, workforce development, and international integration. It hopes that corporations and businesses will continue expanding their investments, particularly in high technology, smart manufacturing, workforce training, and supporting industries.

Provincial representatives also introduced several industrial parks with convenient transport connections and ready-built infrastructure for potential investors.

Bui Huy Vinh said Phu Tho has been actively promoting administrative reform and improving the investment environment through practical measures that support businesses and investors, creating favorable conditions for sustainable growth and long-term development in the province.
