Storm Vamco has entered the East Sea and is forecast to reach the central coast in the next 72 hours, according to the National Centre of Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

 At 7:00 am on Thursday, the eye of Storm Vamco was about 820km Southeast of Viet Nam's Hoang Sa archipelago with wind power of 115-135 kph.

In the next 24 hours, the storm is forecast to move westwards at speed of 20kph.

In the next 24 to 48 hours, it will continue moving westwards at 15-20 kph and is expected to reach the coast between Ha Tinh and Quang Nam provinces by Sunday morning.

Vamco is predicted to make landfall in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces on Monday

Vamco is the third storm in November and 13th to hit Viet Nam this year.  The previous storm, Etau, made landfall on November 10 and weakened into a tropical depression, causing heavy rains in south central and central provinces.

Storm Etau claimed at least two lives in Quang Nam and Binh Dinh provinces./.
