The Dak Nong Aluminum Electrolysis Plant is Vietnam's first aluminum smelting project, with a production capacity of 450,000 tonnes per year. The successful production of the country's first primary aluminum ingots marks a significant milestone in completing Vietnam's bauxite–alumina–primary aluminum value chain.

This achievement not only enhances the efficient utilization of domestic mineral resources and strengthens the country's supply autonomy but also establishes a solid foundation for Vietnam's aluminum industry to integrate more deeply into regional and global supply chains.
