Logistics infrastructure developer SLP Vietnam and courier company J&T Express have signed a strategic cooperation deal to jointly develop a large-scale automated sorting center in southern Vietnam, underscoring growing investment in logistics infrastructure as e-commerce demand accelerates.
The facility, located within SLP Park Nam Thuan in the southern province of Tay Ninh, will span more than 60,000 square meters and serve as a key logistics hub supporting both last-mile delivery and interprovincial distribution networks.
Situated in Nam Thuan Industrial Park, approximately 28 kilometers from neighboring Ho Chi Minh City, the SLP Nam Thuan project benefits from access to major transport corridors linking western HCMC with surrounding industrial clusters.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027 and is designed to support the sorting and distribution of millions of parcels per day. Once operational, it will strengthen logistics capacity across southern Vietnam and enhance J&T Express's ability to handle growing e-commerce volumes in one of the country's most competitive delivery markets.
“The partnership with J&T Express Vietnam reflects our shared commitment to advancing modern logistics infrastructure in Vietnam,” said Dinh Hoai Nam, head of business development at SLP Vietnam.
Through the Nam Thuan project, SLP is developing a large build-to-suit facility tailored to J&T’s operational requirements and equipped with automated systems capable of supporting high-volume logistics operations, he added.

"The project will not only strengthen our processing capacity and network scale, but also improve operational efficiency through automation," said Phan Binh, brand director of J&T Express Vietnam.
Vietnam has emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing e-commerce markets, creating increasing demand for large-scale logistics facilities capable of handling rising order volumes.
Industry estimates show Vietnam’s e-commerce sector has been growing by roughly 25% annually. Online retail sales reached approximately $31 billion in 2025, accounting for nearly 11% of total retail sales nationwide, while almost 60% of the population participated in online shopping activities.
The rapid growth has intensified demand for faster, more reliable delivery services, and greater investment in logistics infrastructure, particularly in automated sorting and distribution systems.
Southern Vietnam, led by the greater HCMC region, has become a key logistics hub thanks to its large consumer base, concentration of manufacturing activity, and expanding transport infrastructure.
Tay Ninh province is increasingly benefiting from this trend, leveraging its proximity to HCMC and improving connectivity to industrial and cross-border trade corridors.
The Nam Thuan development reflects a broader shift across Vietnam's logistics sector, where operators are investing heavily in automation, network optimization and modern warehousing facilities to improve efficiency and meet rising customer expectations.
