All citizens regardless of their nationality will be required to fill out a health declaration form and self-isolate for 14 days from the date of their entry into Vietnam to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Ministry of Health has said.

The rule applies to all citizens entering Vietnam as of March 1, the Ministry of Health said.
According to the ministry’s instructions, citizens can log on to https://tokhaiyte.vn to carry out health declaration.
A 14-day self-isolation at home or in any residential places (if not subject to concentrated quarantine) is mandatory for any citizen from date of entry. If 14 days has elapsed, they should continue limiting contact with others.
In addition, they are required to wear face masks, wash hands with soap or antiseptic alcohol and take other preventive measures.
The Ministry of Health recommended that citizens should contact the nearest health facilities for advice and support.
Vietnam has to date recorded 94 cases of COVID-19 infection, with most of them coming from Europe and the US.
The government has decided to temporarily suspend foreigners from entering Vietnam as of March 22 in an effort to prevent the spread of infection.
