The Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the military-run Viettel Group announced the third edition - Viet Solutions 2021, a contest to find solutions for accelerated national digital transformation. Application forms may be admitted for Viet Solutions 2021 until August 15, 2021.

Themed ‘Collaboration to Create a Digital Society’, Viet Solutions 2021 welcomes the participation of organizations and individuals living, learning, and working in all nations in the world. All technological ideas and products submitted to Viet Solutions 2021 should focus on 10 major fields of healthcare, education, finance-banking, agriculture, transport – logistics, energy, resources – environment, industrial manufacturing, entertainment – utility solutions, and business management. 

According to Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung, the COVID-19 epidemic has affected society and changed behaviors of all people. In the past, we could work together in a place but we now have to shift to work remotely from home. “Therefore, we must find a way to turn pain into opportunity.” One of main solutions is technological application. "We must take advantage of this opportunity, take advantage of the change in users' habits to promote digital technology and digital transformation to develop more strongly," he said.

Where there is a market, there is a technology and there are good products for the market. Therefore, the Ministry of Information and Communications wanted to find a way to solve existing problems, find social "pains" and find current challenges to direct and engage businesses to jointly solve those problems.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung expressed his hope that competitors will think bigger and deeper about technological mastery to make truly breakthrough solutions and confidently become the pride of the Vietnamese technology world.
