South Korean firm Samsung Engineering has offered to build a water treatment plant in central Binh Dinh Province and sought approval from the provincial People’s Committee.

At a meeting with the committee, it said it was interested in building the plant to supply water from Nui Mot Lake in An Nhon Town.

The plant, to be built together with the Sai Gon Environmental Technology and Construction Corporation, will have a capacity of treating 20,000 cubic meters per day.

The committee has instructed the Department of Construction to study the feasibility of the work.

An Nhon Town is supplied by the Binh Dinh Water Treatment plant, but its outskirts do not have water supply.
