The project, approved in principle in 2019, covers about 125 hectares and has a total investment of nearly VND9.6 trillion ($420 million).
The complex will feature horse racing tracks covering 100 hectares, a stadium with capacity for around 30,000 spectators, stables, horse care and training facilities, technical infrastructure and service areas.
The racecourse is expected to have two sand tracks and one grass track, each 25 metres wide.
Beyond the racing facilities, the complex will include an international-standard hotel, a shopping and conference center, and resort villas. A 22.5-hectare lake is also planned to provide open space and enhance the site’s landscape.
Once operational, the development is expected to create around 5,000 direct jobs and support a further 25,000 jobs in related businesses and services.
In July 2026, the Soc Son commune authorities approved the project’s detailed 1:500-scale zoning plan, marking a step towards implementation.
