Information regarding the array of negative tests was confirmed on May 12 by Ton That Thanh, director of the Centre of Diseases Control for Da Nang, the body that is monitoring the health of all recently-returned passengers.
The group of Vietnamese citizens residing, working, or studying in Malaysia, boarded a Vietnam Airlines flight which arrived in the central city of Da Nang on May 10.
Upon arrival at Da Nang International Airport, all passengers and crew members had to undergo a number of medical check-ups, before subsequently being placed into quarantine in line with current health regulations to guard against the potential spread of the COVID-19.
The flight was able to take place thanks to the great support shown by relevant Vietnamese agencies, the Vietnamese embassy in Malaysia, along with national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
