On July 20, the Ministry of Finance working group led by Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Phuong held a working session with the Quang Ninh People's Committee on preparations for ministerial-level events of the Ministry of Finance in the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Year 2027.

The Finance Ministers' Meeting will be one of the key events in the Vietnam APEC Year 2027.

The Meeting is scheduled to take place in Ha Long in October 2027 with the attendance of 21 delegations from APEC member economies and 10 delegations of international organizations and guests.

At the working session, the two sides discussed and agreed on detailed coordination plans, including diplomatic protocol; facilities and venues for the official meetings and side events; medical services; volunteer mobilisation; cultural and artistic programmes; communications, publicity, and ceremonial decorations.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh People’s Committee Le Van Anh affirmed that this would be an important political event, contributing to promoting the image of Quang Ninh to international friends. With the experience of hosting major national and international events, Quang Ninh will make thorough preparations to ensure the successful organization of the Meeting.

As part of the working session, the Ministry of Finance working group conducted site inspections at several proposed venues for the Ministry of Finance’s ministerial-level events in Vietnam APEC Year 2027.
