Relevant forces operating at the Mong Cai international border gate in the northern province of Quang Ninh have strengthened the implementation of medical declarations as a means of being proactive in the fight against the (COVID-19) pandemic.

Each day, approximately 300 medical declarations are conducted for those looking to pass through the Mong Cai international border gate in Quang Ninh province, including the drivers of vehicles that transport goods across Bac Luan Bridge 2, apart from a small number of Vietnamese citizens who carry out entry procedures.
Pham Thi Ai Viet, Head of Mong Cai City's International Health Quarantine Station, said that almost every person who passes through the border gate is aware of the need to comply with these regulations, adding that it can occasionally take longer for some Chinese drivers to fill in the medical declaration forms due to the language barrier.
Amid complicated developments relating to the COVID-19 epidemic, local authorities have underlined the importance of raising public awareness about detecting any potential sources of the COVID-19 infection at entry points such as border crossings and airports.
