Passengers on board the repatriation flight were guest workers who had completed labour contracts but without accommodations.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Norway worked closely with relevant Norwegian agencies to facilitate the citizens’ travel and assist them with necessary procedures before departure.
Qatar Airways implemented necessary epidemiological measures during the flight to prevent possible spread of the virus.
All passengers were also examined and quarantined according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control as soon as the plane landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, northern Vietnam.
Vietnamese authorities are arranging more repatriation flights to bring home more Vietnamese citizens stranded overseas in accordance with the epidemic situation and isolation capacity in the country.
