The deal between the association (VYEA) and advisory service provider PwC Vietnam, signed in Hanoi on September 20, aims to provide Vietnamese businesses with the access to expert knowledge from a wide network of specialists across different fields.
The knowledge partnership will help accompany a wide community of young Vietnamese entrepreneurs in their pioneering journey to apply environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in business operations for a sustainable future economy.
Throughout the 30-year history of Vietnam’s economic reforms and the formation of the private sector, the next generation of young entrepreneurs has served as a bridge to modern businesses, adapting their mindset to the evolving landscape of both the country and the wider world.
“The VYEA recognises the crucial role of ESG in building a sustainable and prosperous economy for future generations. This is not only a global trend but also a key factor in boosting competitiveness, attracting investment, and building a positive image for Vietnamese enterprises,” said Nguyen Ngoc My, vice president of the VYEA.
In recent times, the VYEA has implemented action programmes to promote and support the Vietnamese young business community in pioneering the application of ESG in business operations, My added.
“We are committed to seeking cooperation with reputable organisations and partners with deep expertise in various fields to propose training and support programmes for our members. The strategic partnership agreement between the VYEA and PwC Vietnam marks a new milestone in realising our goal of enhancing the competitiveness of our member businesses,” My said.
Based on the key activities of the VYEA’s Central Committee, along with PwC, it will collaborate to develop suitable training programmes and knowledge-sharing sessions for the next generation of business leaders.
These programmes will focus on topics of interest to young entrepreneurs and member companies, such as green transformation, governance and human resource optimisation, capital management, cybersecurity, and data protection in the AI era.
Hoang Viet Cuong, partner of Entrepreneurial and Private Business at PwC Vietnam, said the company was committed to accompanying Vietnamese businesses in building appropriate transformation roadmaps, starting from leadership thinking and strategic orientation to organisational, human, and financial aspects of the green and digital transition journey.
“The VYEA is a strong association with an extensive network of domestic entrepreneurs and businesses. Meanwhile, PwC Vietnam, with its in-depth expertise and leading specialist network, is eager to support Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs in their growth journey, from building leadership thinking to enhancing governance efficiency and addressing pressing business challenges,” said Cuong.
