Speaking at the session, Ambassador Nguyen Ky Son emphasized that science, technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI) are crucial drivers for Vietnam's development.

Along with the need to enhance AI applications and new technologies is the requirement to ensure data security and cybersecurity.

The Ambassador suggested that Vietnam-Israel cooperation should aim to connect the two ecosystems of science, technology, and innovation, leveraging each side's complementary strengths, and enhancing connections between management agencies, research institutions, businesses, investors, and experts, thereby forming substantial and long-term cooperation models.

Israeli experts shared Israel's experience in building and developing an innovation ecosystem, while also introducing some technologies with potential for cooperation with Vietnam.

Mr. Itai, a researcher at the Atlantic Council, who previously worked at the Israeli National Security Council and the Israel Innovation Authority, shared about the mechanisms and policies contributing to promoting Israel's innovation ecosystem.

He highlighted the role of matching fund mechanisms to share risks and attract venture capital, the incubator system supporting early-stage technology initiatives, as well as mechanisms connecting research institutes and universities with businesses to commercialize research outcomes.

According to him, effective coordination between the government, researchers, businesses, and investors is one of the key factors creating the vitality of Israel's innovation ecosystem.

Mr. Kap Alex, an AI integration expert, focused on discussing the potential of integrating AI into traditional sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, real estate, and services. He also shared Israel's experience in AI skills training for teachers and students, and proposed strengthening connections between experts and businesses from both countries to introduce, test, and deploy solutions that meet Vietnam's practical needs.

Mr. Yossi, a scientist and inventor in technology and AI, introduced some development directions of Agentic AI and its application potential in cybersecurity, software development, renewable energy, and healthcare.

Notably, he introduced solutions using AI to support early detection of cyberattack signs, processing and analyzing large volumes of security data, along with some applications in medical diagnostics and renewable energy management. He expressed his readiness to collaborate with Vietnamese partners to explore the feasibility of deploying suitable solutions in Vietnam and expanding to the regional market.

Both sides agreed to continue discussions to identify specific fields and projects for cooperation, connecting Israeli experts, businesses, and research institutions with suitable partners in Vietnam; and also considered organizing a delegation of Israeli technology experts to Vietnam to understand practical needs, showcase capabilities, and promote cooperation opportunities in the near future.

After the official working session, representatives of FPT Vietnam in Israel had private discussions with some Israeli technology partners about potential specific cooperation in the future.
