On April 7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced:

"At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith, President Vo Van Thuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation will pay an official visit to Laos from April 10-11, 2023."
