In a filing with the Hanoi Stock Exchange, Pizza 4Ps said that the company earned after-tax profits of VND115 billion ($4.6 million) in 2023, up 38 per cent against 2022 and the highest earnings since 2018. On average, the 4P's chain has a net profit of more than $12,600) per day.
It posted profits for the second consecutive year after a loss of $840,000 in 2020 and $1.52 million in 2021.
The pizza restaurant chain saw its equity increase to $10.6 million last year, up nearly 77 per cent from a year ago. At the same time, the company paid off its only batch of bonds circulating in July 2023. Meanwhile, its debt-to-equity ratio declined from 1.51 to 0.78.
Pizza 4P's is one of the most well-known pizza brands in Vietnam, founded by the Japanese couple Yosuke and Sanae Masuko. Although it also chooses pizza as its main product, Pizza 4P's positions itself as a fine-dining restaurant chain rather than a fast food chain.
The company also operates in cheese production, cheese wholesale, and dairy retail. The company not only supplies these products to about 300 stores (mainly 5-star hotels and high-end restaurants), but also sells them directly and online through Pizza 4P's restaurant chain.
The pizza restaurant chain also received funding from Mekong Capital and Seedcom.
In mid-2021, the company issued a 2-year bond with a fixed interest rate of 11 per cent per year to mobilise $834,000 to expand the restaurant chain and invest in a cheese factory.
Pizza 4P's has 31 outlets in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, Haiphong, and Nha Trang.
Besides Vietnam, the chain also operates two outlets in Cambodia and Japan. It plans to launch a new outlet in India in the future.
