A range of measures to prevent the potential spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) came into effect in almost all office buildings throughout Hanoi on the first working day following the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet, on February 17 in attempt to curb the spread of community infection.

Office buildings resume operation on February 17, or the sixth day of the first lunar month, following a seven-day break for Tet. In line with the guidelines set out by the Health Ministry, all office workers follow steps to try and halt the spread of COVID-19.

Hanoi records a total of 35 positive COVID-19 cases between January 27 and February 16, thereby causing prevention measures to be reinforced in office buildings. Pictured are office workers remaining two metres apart in a building in the capital.

The majority of office workers are aware of the high risk posed by community infection these days. Due to citizens contributing to the fight against the virus, they are ready to follow the Health Ministry’s guidelines to protect themselves, their relatives, and friends.
