BHflex Vina, invested by South Korea's BH Co. Ltd., will invest an extra $140 million, increasing its investment in Phu Tho to $310 million.
The project, covering 11.8 hectares in Khai Quang Industrial Park, produces eletronics components for the global supply chain.
Japan's Meiko will add $150 million to its 9.2-hectare project in Bo Trai Song Da Industrial Park, raising the total investment to $350 million. Its products are printed circuit boards (PCB).
In 2026, Phu Tho aims to attract 40 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth $1.5 billion, and 40 domestic investments of VND17,000 billion ($647 million).
FDI businesses in Phu Tho recorded a total revenue of $21.1 billion in 2025, up 20% year-on-year, while earning $33.1 billion from exports, up 17%. They contributed VND8,153 billion ($310.4 million) to the state budget in the year, up 11%.
The province, now featuring 17 industrial parks out of its planning for 29 in total, attracted registered FDI capital of $1.06 billion in 2025, up 40% year-on-year.
Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh and Phu Tho provinces were merged in July last year to form the new Phu Tho which borders Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Tuyen Quang, and Hanoi.
