Talking to Customs News, Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch (Nghe An Customs Department) said that the branch coordinated with the Border Guard force to arrest two suspects who were transporting of 30 packagesof heroin across the border gate.

Accordingly, at 3am on October 29, during patrols at the border gate at Tien Tiau Village, Nam Can Commune, Ky Son District, Nghe An province, Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch coordinated with the Border Guard force of Nam Can International Border Gate to detect four suspects carrying backpacks from the border to Vietnam with suspicious signs. Immediately, the working group requested these suspects to stop for inspection.
However, when detecting the working group, the suspects discardedtheir backpacks and fled, even shot at the working group with firearms. The working group chased the suspect, but due to the darkness, heavy rain and complicated terrain, the suspects could not be arrested.

After inspecting the backpacks, the working team detected 30 packages of heroin hidden inside.
The representative of Nam Can Nam Can International Border Gate Customs Branch said that due to storms, floods, traffic jams and landslides until October 31, the working group handed over the case to the PC04 Department of Nghe An Police for further investigation and handling.
