He made this proposal while addressing the Viet Nam–Jordan Business Forum, held in Ha Noi on November 13, on the occasion of the official visit to Viet Nam by Jordanian King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein.

Attending the forum were the King of Jordan, representatives from ministries and sectors, and 150 enterprises from both countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister also suggested that the two countries negotiate and sign an agreement on investment encouragement and protection, an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, and establish a joint committee or working groups to create new frameworks and cooperation models aimed at strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment relations.

Both sides should promptly work to concretize the outcomes and agreements reached during the King's visit to Viet Nam.

The two countries should enhance all-level delegation exchanges, especially business delegations, to explore markets, expand partner networks, and promote business linkages, urged the Vietnamese official.

The King of Jordan expressed his belief that today's forum will serve as a catalyst and a bridge for the business communities of both countries to connect with partners across various sectors, especially in processing, textiles and garments, electronics, and logistics.

He affirmed his readiness to warmly welcome Vietnamese enterprises to visit Jordan and explore opportunities for further investment cooperation.

The bilateral trade turnover between the two countries reached just over US$188 million in 2024. Investment cooperation remains modest, with only five Jordanian projects in Viet Nam totaling US$1 million, while Viet Nam has yet to invest in any projects in Jordan./.
