The Cat Canh growing area meets the World Health Organization's (WHO) Guidelines on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices for Medicinal Plants (GACP) in Bat Xat and Bac Ha districts, Lao Cai province.

Medicinal growing areas meet international standards

Most recently, the company formed a strategic cooperation with Bac Ha district in Lao Cai province, for the development of medicinal plant areas that meet GACP standards. Commenting on this partnership, the secretary of Bac Ha district said, "Medicinal herbs are one of the key crops in line with the district's development orientation. This partnership will contribute to the restructuring of crops and increase income for local people of Bac Ha."

The district is committed to creating better conditions for Nam Ha Pharmaceutical to invest in the development of medicinal herbs.

Beyond investing in growing areas, the preliminary processing and preparation of medicinal herbs are also standardised by Nam Ha. The company has invested in a system of warehouses across three regions in compliance with strict operation regulations. The company also adopts technology in line with the motto: Clean - Safety - Convenience.

Currently, Nam Ha Pharmaceutical has been proactive in sourcing clean medicinal herbs for a production system that meets the WHO's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, overseen by the world's most advanced quality management system.However, there is a long way to go for Nam Ha to achieve its lofty goals. From 2022 to 2025, the company will develop national medicinal plant growing areas in some northern provinces and the Central Highlands for domestic production and export.

The company will actually finance the planning of medicinal plant growing areas in some provinces while offering support to cultivate and harvest medicinal plants in accordance with the natural conditions, soil, and farming practices of each region, in accordance with GACP standards. This will help ensure quality standards for local production and exports while creating stable jobs for farmers, members of cooperatives, and ethnic minority farmer groups, thereby contributing to economic development.

These are all strategic foundations to enhance the company's competitive advantage, control the quality of input materials, improve product quality, and achieve sustainable development goals in the future.

In its long-term vision, Nam Ha Pharmaceutical will invest in building a factory that meets FDA standards.
