Starting in August, the ticket price for passengers traveling on Hanoi’s two current metro lines will increase by 30% to VND40,000 (US$1.5).
The weekly pass will cost VND160,000 (US$6.1), and the monthly pass will increase by 40% to VND280,000 (US$10.7) for regular passengers and VND140,000 (US$5.4) for priority groups.
Monthly multimodal passes will cost 2.5 times the monthly fare for a single line.
Twelve-month tickets will cost VND1.58 million ($60.3) for priority groups and VND3.16 million ($120.6) for regular passengers.
Ticket prices for individual trips on the Nhon-Hanoi Station route will range from VND9,000 ($0.34) to VND15,000 ($0.57) per passenger.

The per-ride ticket price on the Nhon-Hanoi Station route will range from VND9,000 ($0.34) to VND15,000 ($0.57), and the Cat Linh-Ha Dong route will range from VND9,000 ($0.34) to VND19,000 ($0.73).
Collective monthly passes will be discontinued on August 1, but existing exemptions for eligible passengers will remain unchanged.
All fares include passenger insurance and applicable transaction costs for subsidized bus and metro routes.
