The Investment and Processing Customs Branch under HCMC Customs Department discontinued procedures for imports and exports involving Maxrob Co., Ltd (Linh Trung-Sai Gon Export Processing Zone in Thu Duc City, HCM City) in line with the local tax authorities’ sanction.

The company has been forced to suspend imports and exports as it failed to pay taxes worth over VND6.8 billion since it missed the deadline for more than 90 days.

Similarly, the local customs branch has ordered the suspension of imports and exports for Truong Nguyen Trade Informatics Co.,Ltd according to the city tax authorities’ sanction.

Earlier, the city’s tax department urged the local customs branch to suspend procedures for imports and exports among the companies that deliberately failed to pay their taxes since they missed the deadline for more than three months or failed to comply with the decision on sanctioning administrative violations on tax administration.

From early in the year, the branch discontinued customs procedures for many tax debtors such as the Industrial Construction Joint Stock Company with tax debts worth over VND260 billion, and S.W.P Southwest Petroleum Company Limited with tax debts worth over VND18 billion

The city customs department has proposed competent agencies to revoke the business registration certificate for the tax debtors.

Recently, Sai Gon Seaport Customs Branch under the municipal customs department, asked the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment to revoke the business registration certificate of the companies with tax debts.

The local branch proposed to revoke the business registration certificate of AVA International Aesthetic and Trading Joint Stock Company for failing to pay taxes.

According to Clause 4.a, Article 37 of Government Decree 126/2020 dated October 19, 2020 detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tax Administration, “Within 10 days from the date of receiving the written request for revocation from the tax agency, the state agency which has the authority to issue the business registration certificate shall revoke the business registration certificate or notify the tax agency of the reason for not revoking the certificate”.

AVA International Aesthetic and Commercial Joint Stock Company has had a tax debt of more than VND38 million since 2016.
