The General Department of Customs is asking multinational corporations to share information related to the management practice of other customs administrations that the corporations are working with.

For example: regulations on tax policies, tax administration for export production and export processing; customs procedures applicable to customs offices and export production and processing enterprises;customs supervision and management methods for export production and processing activities of enterprises.

According to the General Department of Customs, the information shared by enterprises are grounds for the Customs agency to have enough practices to meet the management requirements and facilitate the operation of enterprises engaging in export production and processing field in the future.

The General Department of Customs is amending and supplementing legal documents and completing and redesigning the overall customs process and procedures to ensure management of the customs agency.

In particular, the management, inspection and supervision of export production and processing are particularly interested in by the customs agency as well as the business community, especially in the area of State management agencies as well as the business community enjoying the benefits brought about by the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) in management and administration activities.

Recently, in addition to handling customs procedures for imports and exports of the business community, the General Department of Customs has always been proactive to carry out contents related to new-generation free trade agreements to which Vietnam is acceded.

Moreover, the General Department of Customs has also regularly listened to the proposals and difficulties of the business community to report to competent authorities for amendments and supplements in a timely fashion.

These amendments will contribute to improving the business environment, enhancing national competitiveness and improving Vietnam's cross-border trade transaction index on the rankings of reputable organizations in the world.
