VOV.VN - The Vietnam Motor Show 2019 will see the participation of the top 15 brands from the automobile sector, in addition to hundreds of other auxiliary brands, according to organisers at a meeting in HCM City on September 10 which unveiled information about the exhibition.

The event is being co-organised by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) along with the Vehicle Importers Vietnam Association (VIVA).   

The leading automobile brands taking part in the show include Audi, Ford, VinFast, Lexus, and Honda, with each of them expected to showcase a variety of car models that feature the cutting-edge technologies used in motor vehicles.

Apart from the leading brands, hundreds of auxiliary brands are also set to participate in the Vietnam Motor Show 2019 (VMS 2019) through displaying a wide range of support industry products, spare parts, components, technological toys, insurance, and financial support services.

The exhibition, set to take place from October 23 to October 27, is expected to create optimal conditions for car manufacturers to interact with customers.

In particular, VMS 2019 will see the introduction of interactive technology solutions that could provide customers with a fresh digital experience. 

Covering a total area of 20,000 square metres, VMS 2019 will introduce visitors to a diverse range of cars equipped with breakthrough technologies across a wide range of segments. Furthermore visitors will be able to experience driving cars at the fair and enjoy some thrilling driving performances.

VIVA representative Laurent Genet noted that the Vietnamese automobile market has enjoyed impressive growth in recent years, recalling that VIVA has made great strides that have served to strengthen linkages among markets, agents, and consumers. 

He pointed out that the VMS 2019 provides an ideal venue for both car manufacturers and car lovers who can come and experience prestigious brands.

VAMA Chairman Toru Kinoshita said that despite 2019 being a challenging year, the automobile market has seen an average growth of 33 per cent. This can largely be put down to quality products and unique designs. 

It is expected that stable economic growth and a positive shift of foreign investment will serve to open up a wealth of opportunities that will boost the development of automobile companies during the remaining months of the year, Mr Toru Kinoshita noted. 

One major factor in this growth could be the country’s rapidly expanding population, along with the increased income of residents which could accelerate demand for automobiles in the near future. Therefore, automakers should put in every effort to make reforms necessary in order to meet the increasing and diverse needs of customers.
