Khanh Hoa stands ready to receive more international guests after March 15 when Viet Nam's tourism sector is fully open - Illustration photo

Khanh Hoa was one of the first five localities allowed to implement a trial program to welcome international visitors chiefly from Russia, the RoK, Japan and Malaysia since last November. 

In the last three months of 2021, the province handled 122,000 visitors including 4,600 foreign tourists and earned over VND 450 billion in revenue. 

Khanh Hoa stands ready to welcome more foreign visitors when the tourism sector is expected to be fully re-opened from March 15, said Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the provincial Department of Tourism. 

In 2022, the province plans to attract over 1.2 million guests including 1.16 million domestic visitors and 40,000 foreign arrivals and earn VND 4 trillion of tourism revenue, representing a year-on-year increase of 80 percent.

The province plans to hold 125 culture, tourism, and sports activities this year under the theme  "Safe destination - Nha Trang sea calls"./.
