Explaining the decision to enter the Vietnamese motorbike market at this time, J Thangarajan, president director of PT TVS Motor Co., said that the Vietnamese motorbike market has declined recently, but the company is still confident in joining the race.
"This is because consumers always expect new choices. With a diverse product line that integrates many new features, we can meet the expectations of Vietnamese customers," he added.
| "Vietnam is on the rise, and mobility is a key driver of any economy. By launching our products in Vietnam, TVS Motor gets a chance to play a small part in charting the course of the Vietnamese economy. We will be unwavering in our commitment to ensure an exceptional ownership experience for our customers," said Thangarajan. |
With prices ranging from VND26 to 36 million ($1,080 to $1,500), TVS’s five models of scooters and underbone motorcycles are aimed at the Gen Z in Vietnam.
Entering the Vietnamese market is the company's second big step in the past two weeks, after announcing plans to enter the European market with a debut in France.
The company will take advantage of Minh Long Motors' extensive distribution network and in-depth market understanding to provide a number of high-class, two-wheeled vehicle models.
TVS Motor products are currently sold in more than 80 countries spanning Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Exports account for nearly 25 per cent of the company's business activities as of the first half of 2023 – a testament to the firm's high quality, superior technology, and research and development capabilities.
TVS Motor Co. is one of the world's largest two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers. With four modern production facilities located in India and Indonesia, its products reach 80 markets worldwide.
