Hoa Ban, also known by their scientific name of Bauhinia Variegate, originate from the northwestern region and were initially spotted growing in the Central Highland city of Da Lat in 2007, with the flowers often blooming around December and filling the streets of the city with elegant white flowers.

The flowers and their soft white hues bring a freshness to the streets of Da Lat city.


Hoa Ban can easily be found throughout the city on streets such as Quang Trung, Tran Phu, and Phu Dong Thien Vuong.


This type of flower is notably for mainly being planted by ethnic Thai people in the nation’s northwestern region.


Many young people enjoy snapping photographs among the bright flowers as a means of recording pretty pictures of the blossoms.

A couple from Ho Chi Minh City say that they are amazed by the beauty of the flowers which originate from the country’s northwestern region.


Each flower features four to five petals with bright white veins.
