Downpours over the past two days have inundated areas throughout Vinh city in the central province of Nghe An, with many streets and residential areas left flooded as a result of the heavy rainfall.

The arrival of Typhoon Molave batters the central city of Vinh from October 29 night, with prolonged spells of torrential rain leaving Ly Thuong Kiet street flooded.

Locals face up to floodwater approximately one metre deep on Ly Thuong Kiet street.

The high volume of rainfall leaves many areas throughout Vinh submerged.

Flooding hits many populated areas in the central city, making travel extremely challenging.
