Accordingly, HCM City Customs Department has refunded over VND2,159 billion and exempted over VND8,136 billion from taxes.

The department has refunded over VND65 billion of VAT on goods brought by foreigners and overseas Vietnamese when exiting the country.

Goods purchased in Vietnam and brought by foreign passengers when leaving the country and refunded VAT are mainly shoes, sandals, clothes, handbags, cosmetics, watches, glasses, etc.
