The plan aims to boost the share of digital economy to 30% of the city's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by 2025 and 40% by 2030.
The online shop, called "Capital Products Booth", will showcase One Commune One Product (OCOP) items and other signature products of Hanoi, with more than 60% of OCOP goods, excluding fresh farm and aquatic produce.
The booth is expected to open by December 15, 2025.
To support participating producers and businesses, Hanoi will roll out digital signatures, e-contracts, e-invoices and product traceability systems.
Local digital technology companies will provide these services, with the city encouraging preferential offers, and organize training programs in e-commerce, online marketing, digital business skills and the use of AI in sales.
Alongside Shopee, the city will carry out promotional campaigns, trade promotion activities and online sales programs to encourage consumer participation and enhance the visibility of Hanoi’s products domestically and internationally.
From 2026 to 2030, the program will expand to cross-border e-commerce platforms and social media, with a target of bringing 100% of OCOP products and 50% of other producers onto the “Capital Products Booth”.
Hanoi will also cooperate with neighboring provinces to scale the program into a wider booth strengthening the region’s digital economy.
