A variety of decorations have gone up throughout Hanoi as part of the capital’s transformation ahead of the 13th National Party Congress.

With one week to go until the start of the 13th National Party Congress, plenty of streets throughout Hanoi boast new decorations to celebrate the upcoming important political event.

A variety of national flags and banners are hung along the ceramic mosaic mural roads on Hang Voi street.

The 13th National Party Congress is scheduled to be held from January 25 to February 2. All of the streets throughout the capital have been well decorated, drawing plenty of attention from passers-by.

A large poster can be seen in front of the National Convention Centre, the site which will host the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

The administration of Hanoi has also initiated plans to install lights, in addition to arranging flowers throughout the streets before the start of the congress.

A quote from President Ho Chi Minh can be seen written on a large poster at the crossroads of Le Thach and Dinh Tien Hoang streets, serving as a reminder of the solidarity that exists among Party members and people.

A three-sided poster situated on Dinh Tien Hoang street celebrates both the launch of the congress and the Lunar New Year festival, known locally as Tet.

Panels and posters can easily be found throughout Ly Thai To flower garden close to Ho Guom (Returned Sword Lake) in the heart of the capital.

According to reports by local authorities, decorations for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and Tet will be completed before January 19 and February 5, respectively.
