The Hanoi Youth Union launched a campaign on April 13 to help thousands of young people from the capital left unemployed due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic find work through the creation of 10,000 jobs.

The employment campaign is being jointly implemented by the Hanoi Youth Union, the Student Association in Hanoi, in addition to other organisations such as Hanoi Global Shapers, Ho Chi Minh City Global Shapers, Canavi, Accesstrade, and the G.A.P Institute.
It is hoped that throughout the initiative, the Hanoi Youth Union will serve as a bridge that can connect partners and employers with young people hoping to find work after the COVID-19 outbreak is contained.
As a result of the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, a number of young people and students in Hanoi are at high risk of losing their jobs due to small and medium-sized businesses being forced to suspend operations.
The non-profit campaign aims to generate income for thousands of unemployed young people who have been hit by the negative economic impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, in addition to helping workers facing difficulties nationwide overcome the challenging period.
Within the framework of the initiative, the Hanoi Youth Union has also deployed a range of activities which will provide 8,000 meals a day to support students, workers, and those who find themselves in difficult circumstances between April 13 and April 30.
