Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port has come into operation to promote the growth of import-export activities and the revenue of Hai Phong Customs Department.
In 2025, Hai Phong Customs Department is assigned to collect the revenue target of VND72,000 billion (under Decision No. 1524/QD-TTg dated December 6, 2024 of the Prime Minister).
Hai Phong area is assigned the revenue target of VND62,700 billion, Hai Duong province is assigned the revenue target of VND 3,900 billion, Hung Yen province is assigned the revenue target of VND4,300 billion, Thai Binh province is assigned the revenue target of VND1,100 billion.
To accomplish the revenue target in 2024, Hai Phong Customs issued Directive No. 624/CT-HQHP on drastic implementation of solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, and strive to accomplish the revenue target in 2025.
In Directive No. 624, Hai Phong Customs Department sets out 8 tasks to be deployed to all affiliated and subordinate units and 7 specific tasks to branches performing the revenue collection.
The new point in Directive is that from the beginning of the year, customs branches have developed the monthly revenue collection plan for 2025 with the estimated revenue and the desired revenue.
Thereby, branches will regularly monitor and grasp the situation and fluctuations affecting revenue sources to provide solutions in line with arising realities; and enhance the responsibility of customs officers in performing their duties; strive to excellently complete the revenue collection 2025.
In 2020, Hai Phong Customs Department collected VND77,455.3 billion, exceeding 16.5% of the assigned target (equivalent to exceeding VND10,966 billion), an increase of VND11,931.9 billion (or 18.2%) compared to 2023.
Hai Phong area collected ND67,436.5 billion, reaching 114.7% of the target assigned by the Central Government and 112.4% of the target assigned by the Hai Phong City People's Council, an increase of VND10,026.5 billion (or 17.5%) compared to 2023.
Three provinces outside Hai Phong (Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh) collected VND10,018.8 billion, reaching 130.3% of the assigned target, an increase of VND1,905.5 billion.
