Secretary of Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue was picked on Tuesday as candidate for next Chairman of the National Assembly.

Hue, who is a Politburo member, was promoted to the current role in February 2020 from his previous position as Deputy Prime Minister.

As planned, law-makers will cast ballot to elect new Chairman of the Legislature on Wednesday morning and the new top legislator will be sworn in following the election.

The country’s new State President and new Prime Minister will also be elected in the next few days and they are expected to take their oath of office on April 2 and 5 after being elected by the National Assembly./.
