In order to control the situation, promptly combat and prevent violations of the law, Hanoi Customs Department has developed a peak plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and illegal cross-border transportation of goods before, during and after the Tan Suu Lunar New Year 2021.
The goal of this plan is to strengthen patrol and control, promptly detect, prevent and handle smugglers and illegal cross-border transportation of goods.
Strictly control banned goods, goods affecting security and order, social safety, counterfeit goods, low-quality goods, conditional imported goods, high-tax rate goods and essential consumer goods in Lunar New Year such as: weapons, drugs, firecrackers and explosives, wildlife, mobile phones, garments, cosmetics, medicinal herbs, alcohol, cigarettes, confectionery, food, and reactionary publications, cultural products or documents, electronic tools containing imported reactionary cultural products and documents.
The leaders of the Hanoi Customs Department asked heads of subordinate units to strengthen the direction and publicity targeted tasks to all officials, actively arrange resources and operational vehicles, synchronously deploy customs control measures to perform tasks, and associate the responsibilities of the heads of the units with the task performance results.
In particular, one of the key solutions is to promote publicity and advice people to not support, cover up and ignore smuggling, commercial fraud, counterfeit goods, banned goods, low-quality goods and illegal cross-border transportation of goods.
The plan also specifies the key tasks of the units in strengthening information collection, grasping the situation, patrolling, and strictly controlling in customs controlled areas.
In addition, the Hanoi Customs Department will continue to actively coordinate with operational departments like the Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department and local competent forces such as the police, market surveillance to share information, detect and arrest and handle, contributing to stabilizing the market during the Lunar New Year and promoting domestic production.
