Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong offered incense in commemoration of late Vietnamese Kings on February 17, the sixth day of the first lunar month, at the Thang Long royal citadel in Hanoi.

General Secretary Trong pays a visit to the Thang Long royal citadel accompanied by Politburo member and Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue (left in the second row).

The Party leader offers incense at Kinh Thien Palace inside the royal citadel to commemorate late Vietnamese Kings to mark the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.

The Party chief joins with municipal leaders as they stroll around the relic site.

The group plants a tree at the citadel in order to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching of growing trees during the spring.

The top Vietnamese leader requests that Thang Long heritage conservation centre maintains the values of the world cultural heritage site moving forward.
