From national commitment to corporate action

The world is undergoing a "green revolution," and sustainable development is the inevitable path. At COP26, Vietnam pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. To realize this ambitious goal, businesses must take the lead.

Garco 10 has quickly translated national commitments into practical actions. While the textile and garment industry is facing compound challenges from shrinking orders, rising costs and strictly required green standards from major export markets, Garco 10 has not only remained resilient but also made breakthroughs thanks to its active, comprehensive and well-structured green transformation strategy.

From “green factories” to circular economy

A major milestone in Garco 10’s Net Zero journey is the operation of Thai Ha Factory - a LEED-certified green building (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certificate of the United States). This is a clear testament to the corporation’s shift from traditional manufacturing to clean, energy- and resource-efficient production.

Additionally, Garco 10 deployed rooftop solar power systems in its member units such as Bim Son, Hung Ha and Ha Quang, with a total capacity reaching thousands of kWp. This solution not only reduces operating costs but also cuts thousands of tons of CO₂ emissions annually, significantly contributing to the national emission reduction target. The corporation is also gradually replacing coal-fired boilers with biomass ones, investing in LED lighting, applying energy-saving inverters and building an energy consumption monitoring system according to ISO 50001 standards.

Digital transformation and green governance: The core of sustainability journey

Garco 10 operates on the motto: “People at the center - Knowledge as the foundation - Innovation as the driving force.” This philosophy is embodied in specialized training programs on digital design, AI software, ChatGPT application in management, traceability tools (Higg Index), LEED standards and green manufacturing practices.

The emulation campaigns “Lean - Efficient - Digitally Innovative” and “90 Days of Rapid Action” have inspired actions across the entire system, from factories to corporate offices. These actions reflect a modern management mindset where each individual is a crucial link in the sustainable value chain. Special attention is also paid to enhancing occupational safety and hygiene, self-defense and security, and improving working conditions in factories - essential factors in ESG (Environmental - Social - Governance) standards.

Greening the supply chain and business ecosystem

Garco 10 is building an ecosystem centered around the sustainable business model. Long Bien Vocational College, a key institution for high-quality garment workforce training, has undergone a complete brand identity revamp while strengthening training partnerships and supplying a globally competent labor force.

Moreover, the development of an omnichannel e-commerce system, a modern website interface, the Centurion fashion retail chain and affiliated units such as Garco Dragon Hotel and May 10 Kindergarten are vivid demonstrations of a multidimensional sustainable growth strategy where business, training and support services complement one another toward a common goal.

The efforts of Garment 10 Corporation have been widely recognized through a range of prestigious awards such as Top 10 Vietnam Excellent Brand - Green Growth Awards 2022-2023 and 2024; Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam 2023; 5-Star Green Energy Business 2022; and multiple honors from the “Vietnam Excellent Brand” Program. These accolades not only affirm the firm’s production capabilities but also validate its long-term vision and sound strategy in shaping a green future.
