Fushan Technology Vietnam- a subsidiary of Foxconn was fined $22,000

Bac Ninh People’s Committee issued a fine of VND520 million ($22,000) on Fushan Technology Vietnam, which is located in VSIP Bac Ninh Industrial Park.

The company was implementing four construction items without a licence, which combine two mobile phone assembling facilities, an eating room and parking area. Meanwhile, according to regulations, the company has to get a licence for works having the feasibility report or work have the construction investment economic-technical report.

Within 90 days from the date of issuance of the sanctioning decision, Fushan Technology Vietnam must complete the dossier to request the competent authority to issue a construction licence and obtain a construction permit. At the end of the term, if the company cannot present the construction permit, it must dismantle the violating construction works.

Fushan Technology Vietnam is a factory of Foxconn, a world-leading corporation in manufacturing electronic components, telecommunications equipment and computers.

Entering service in 2013, the factory was formerly known as a Nokia phone site, with a total value of investment of more than $300 million.

In 2014, the factory was owned by Microsoft, and became the unique factory of Microsoft in producing smartphones.

The facility continues to focus on technology solutions to expand production and diversify products.
