Compared to the same period in 2020, footwear export turnover increased sharply by 28.36%, hitting about US$2.5 billion.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first 15 days of July, the export turnover of footwear reached US$877 million, bringing the total turnover from the beginning of the year to July 15 to US$11.27 billion.
Compared to the same period in 2020 footwear export turnover increased sharply by 28.36%, equivalent to about US$2.5 billion, making it one of the commodities with the best growth.
The largest export market of the footwear group is the US with a turnover of US$4.14 billion by the end of June.
Other major markets were the EU, China, Japan and Canada.
In addition to footwear, as of July 15, there were four other export groups with a turnover of US$10 billion or more.
Leading the way was phones and components with a turnover of US$26.66 billion.
The next positions were computers, electronic products, and components with US$25.42 billion; machinery and equipment reached US$18.4 billion; textile and garment hit US$16.97 billion.
From the beginning of the year, Vietnam’s export turnover reached US$171.22 billion, up 28% over the same period last year, equivalent to an increase of about US$37.5 billion.
