Bookings are open for an international commercial flight from the Republic of Korea’s Seoul to Ha Noi, the national flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines announced Wednesday. 

The Airbus A350 aircraft used for the flight has a capacity of 300.

The flight is scheduled to depart from Seoul on September 25, the first inbound international commercial flight since the Government approved resumption of six international air routes.

Passengers are required to have certificate of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within three days prior to departure, install Bluezone, a Bluetooth-based app that helps determine if a person has come into close contact with a Covid-19 patient.

Last Saturday, a Ha Noi-Tokyo flight carrying nearly 60 passengers took off at Noi Bai International Airport at 6:30 am , making it the first outbound international commercial flight after six months of suspension due to COVID-19.

Under the current entry regulations, passengers on international commercial flights only include holders of diplomatic and official passports and their family members; experts, investors, business managers, high-tech workers and their family members; and Vietnamese wishing to return home.

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh had tasked the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to shorten time required for visa issuance to three days.

The Ministry of Public Security shall coordinate with local authorities to organize and supervise the implementation of quarantine rules as regulated.

The Ministry of Health was asked to organize quick tests in accordance with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.

As of 6:05 pm on September 23, Viet Nam had 1,069 COVID-19 patients, including 991 recoveries and 35 fatalities, according to the National Steering Committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam./.
