The Ministry of Health confirmed 56 new community infection cases of COVID-19, bringing the national patient tally to 6,964.

The latest patients are residents of Bac Giang (45), Bac Ninh (nine), Long An (one), and Hai Duong (one).

With these new patients, the number of domestic cases rose to 3,892 in 34 localities: Bac Giang (2,047), Bac Ninh (776), HCMC (108), Hai Duong (48), Long An (three), Hai Phong (three), Ha Noi (264), Da Nang (155), Vinh Phuc (89), Lang Son (62), Dien Bien (58), Ha Nam (42), Hung Yen (37), Thai Binh (20), Hoa Binh (seven), Nam Dinh (six), Thanh Hoa (five), Thua Thien-Hue (five), Ninh Binh (four), Thai Nguyen (three), Dak Lak (three), Quang Nam (three), Quang Tri (three), Phu Tho (three), Quang Ninh (two), Bac Lieu (one), Gia Lai (one), Nghe An (one), Son La (one), Tuyen Quang (one), Yen Bai (one), Dong Nai (one), Quang Ngai (one), and Tay Ninh (one).

The ministry also reported 54 patients have recovered and exited hospitals, raising the total recoveries to 2,950.
