The ancient city of Hue in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue is currently experiencing a festive atmosphere with the Lunar New Year festival, known locally as Tet, fast approaching.

Thuong Bac park is a popular venue in which local residents and tourists come together to participate in the annual flower spring festival. These days workers at the site are busy preparing for their most important event of the year.

In contrast to previous years, the flower festival is being held in many places throughout the city, as opposed to only running in Thuong Bac park.

A unique wooden bridge situated close to Huong river represents a favourite check-in spot among local people.

Workers dedicate themselves to the task of decorating a pedestrian street on the banks of the Huong river ahead of Tet.

Locals wear Ao Dai, a traditional long dress, as they pose for group photos in order to keep nice memories of their Tet celebrations in Hue.
