During the period, over 4.5 million people completed immigration procedures, up 97.5% year-over-year. Mong Cai also saw a 62% rise in tourist arrivals, totaling 2.76 million.

Mong Cai officials regularly meet with their counterparts in Dongxing, China, to resolve issues, attract businesses, and promote border trade and tourism.

Efforts to combat smuggling and illegal border crossings remain effective, with local authorities maintaining strict oversight to prevent disruptions.

On September 3, Mong Cai started handling immigration for road transport between China’s Nanning and Vietnam’s Ha Long via Bac Luân II Bridge. Customs authorities have streamlined procedures to assist businesses with quick and efficient clearance while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
